Staff
Kary Jablonka, MSW - Adminstrator
Reporting to the Human Services Committee of the
Columbia County Board of Supervisors, the administrator provides
leadership and overall direction for Office for the Aging operations.
The OFA Team consists of three senior team leaders and a range
of skilled professional and support staff.
Ken Schomaker - Accountant
All aspects of our financial management are handled
by our accountant and bookkeeper. They are responsible for all
consumer accounts, billing, state, federal, and county funds,
contracts, vouchering, and payroll functions.
Michelle Ublacker - Case Management Supervisor
Case management for our consumers is handled by
a community services assistant, case managers, and an aging services
program manager. These staff members provide direct services
to all the consumers we serve.
Amy Anderson - Nutrition Services Coordinator
Nutrition services are a large part of our daily
operation at the Office for the Aging. Meals are made and provided
to many residents in the county either at our congregate sites
or through meals-on-wheels. In addition to our coordinator, we
have a registered dietician and a nutrition program assistant
on staff. There are approximately 20 employees who prepare and
help deliver meals and assist with operations in our central
kitchen in Philmont.
Additional Staff
We have three Case Managers, two Community Services
Assistants, a Program Manager, a Bookkeeper, two clerks and a kitchen
staff consisting of 21 full and part-time employees.
Volunteers
An essential part of the OFA nutrition
program, volunteers are critical to serving our consumers. Without
the active, reliable involvement of committed volunteers, we
would be unable to reach the number of residents that we currently
serve.
Advisory Council
The Office for the Aging Advisory Council
consists of representatives from each town and each ward in the
city of Hudson, as well as other agencies throughout the county.
Advisory Council members are an integral part of planning for
effective county-wide service delivery and interagency coordination.
